Why am I here?
Do You Come Here Often? started as way to ease myself back into the dating game after a painful breakup that left me thinking I was destined to be alone. The heartache wasn’t worth it a second time and even more I thought “the one” had left so why bother?
It has since evolved especially since this little project has lead me to my husband. Who knew, right? It has now become my little safe place on the web to share tidbits of the life I’m building with The Thinker in the nation’s capitol. Thank you for stopping by.
Trivia about the girl
- Yes, my sign is the Scorpio. November 8 for you nosy people. No, you will not get the year. And no, I’m not sure I really buy into all of the astrological stuff. I went with this nom de plume because I found that to be a frequent pick-up line, “Baby, what’s your sign?”
- I love a good peanut butter and dill pickle sandwich on Wonder Bread. This was something my Grandma introduced to me as a kid and when I’m really bummed this is the go to comfort food.
- Like any girl, my biggest weakness is shoes. After merging households, I’ve slowly culled down the total number of pairs. Surprisingly, my favorite shoe to buy is tennis shoes. But as a professional woman in DC, the focus has shifted to business. Now if only my budget would allow the designers, my heart desires.
- I sleep with my mouth wide open. I know it’s not good for my teeth, but I just cannot seem to breathe through my nose like a normal person.
- I don’t have a mass of friends, but those I have are true quality friends to whom I’m loyal to possibly a fault.
- I have a cat that I love dearly, but don’t call me a crazy cat lady. I have a cat.
- It wasn’t until I was in my junior year of college that I flew. And when I did I flew to Paris. All or nothing, I guess that should be my motto.
- I can make a mean meatloaf.
- Instead of working as a marketing manager, I hope to one day open a tea shop selling loose leaf and don’t worry I’ll brew a cup for you.
- I collect Pez dispensers. Nothing better than wondering around an antique store or flea market looking for them.
I’m sure I left something out. So please feel free to drop me a note with your burning question or just to say hi. You can reach me at miss.scorpio.dc@gmail.com.
